The Black Cat

It would be silly of me to think I am unique in that I love the work Edgar Allen Poe.  None the less, he is a constant inspiration to me.  Here an illustration for one of my favorite of his short stories "The Black Cat," I tip my hat to you Mr. Poe.  You were a genius.

See a resemblance?

We may not always get exactly what we think we want, but be thankful anyway.  We have what we need.  Have a beautiful day!

I don't flatter myself that many people have noticed that I've been very inactive with my Sketch Studio of late.  However, I do know a select few that do check regularly (Hi Mom!) and it troubles me to be so artistically unproductive.  So, to those people and to those reading now, THANK YOU!  And, in my defense, I haven't been doing completely nothing, but am in the process of developing some new skills and ideas.  I just have nothing finished yet.  I have found some time during classes to doodle/sketch out some ideas to keep myself relatively sane.  While they are not very colorful, I hope they are at least a little interesting.  Enjoy!

Also, I took a tiny weekend vacation to New York City.

Until next time!
