The Grogoch -Part 2/7

This is the second of a 7-piece series of illustrations that I completed for The Woodland Faerie Trail of Achill Island in Ireland.  They are printed on wooden plaques and scattered throughout fairy houses and lovely, mossy, ivy-ed trees.

This fairy is called a Grogoch.  He can be found on Irish farmland, though he originally from Scotland.  He is a dirty, smelly, naked, little fellow.  But he is a huge help and works in exchange for pots of fresh cream.

Stay tuned for more Irish fairies!
